The Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership for Social Justice at CSUEB helps working education professionals develop leadership capacity to disrupt systemic injustice through comprehensive mentorship from accessible, experienced, and committed faculty. Doctoral students conduct original research to improve outcomes for all learners in pre-K, K-12, and higher education, with dissertation development embedded in the curriculum. The cohort format cultivates a learning community that supports students throughout their three-year doctoral journey.
This program is designed for busy education professionals. Classes meet both online and in-person for three semesters per year (summer, fall, and spring) beginning in June. In-person classes are held some Thursday and Friday late afternoons and some Saturdays. Roughly 50% of the coursework is in-person and 50% is online.
