The Parking & Alternative Transportation Services Department's mission is to provide & promote alternative transportation options to our campus community and guests while also providing a safe, well maintained parking infrastructure that allows the Cal State 糖心Vlogy Community to get to their destination as safely and efficiently as possible.

Old Hillary Road Asphalt Replacement Project - Parking Lot Closures

 

 Monday, July 14th -  Friday, August 1st

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Phase 1: Adding Driveway/ADA ramps to sidewalks (Week 1: July 14th - July 18th) - All Parking Lots open

Phase 2: Grinding/Paving North end of Old Hillary Rd (Week 2: July 21st - July 25th) - Parking Lots H, J & K closed. Please park in Lot G.

Phase 3: Grinding/Paving South end of Old Hillary Rd (Week 3: July 28th - August 1st) - Parking Lots G closed. Please park in Lots H, J & K.

 

*Please note from July 21st - August 1st there will be no Shuttle pickup/drop offs at the AE or SF stops on Old Hillary Road.

Additionally there will be no AC Transit pickup/drop offs at the SF stops on Old Hillary Road.

EasyPass is your all-access pass to ride AC Transit buses anywhere they go—no need to worry about fares! Whether you're commuting to class, heading to work, or exploring the Bay, EasyPass makes it simple, sustainable, and stress-free.

 

AC Transit EasyPass will replace the CSUEB Shuttles by providing access to campus via Line 60.

Please note that the following is regularly updated with scheduled lot closures and does not guarantee a lot is open if not listed.

   

Lots H, J & K - July 21st - July 25th

Parking permits are no longer required in the Student/General Parking Lot and the Electric Vehicle Charging Spaces (there is still an EV charge fee though)  at the Concord Campus as of June 12, 2023. See ASI resolution below for more information on this change

 

Please note, we will continue to cite in the Faculty/Staff Parking Lot and a Faculty/Staff permit is required to park there. 

 

As of March 1, 2025, the policy changed if charging more than 4 hours.

 

  • Past policy: You were required to move the vehicle or be subject to a $49 citation.
  • Current policy: Starting March 1, 2025, you will not be required to move if still charging but the rate will double if you continue to charge.

CSUEB Affiliate rates: Charging between 1-4 hours $0.32 /kWh, charging more than 4 hours $0.64 /kWh

Community Member rates: Charging between 1-4 hours $0.40 /kWh, charging more than 4 hours $0.80 /kWh

 2-Year Parking Permit:

  • PAYROLL DEDUCTION- For those currently enrolled in Payroll Deduction - Pick up your new Faculty/Staff 2-Year permits at the Parking office SF-140. Bring photo ID.
  • ENROLL* - If you want to enroll in payroll deduction for the Faculty/Staff 2-Year permit, visit the Parking Office. (You will need to pay for the 1st Bring the pink card from HR/Payroll and photo ID.)
  • PURCHASE* - If you want to purchase Faculty/Staff 2-Year permit in full, visit the Parking Office. (You will need to bring the pink card from HR/Payroll and photo ID.)
  • Faculty/Staff 2-year parking permits on the9 month deduction schedule (NOT teaching in summer) will be available on August 4, 2025

Semester/Monthly Parking Permit:

  • SUMMER TERM OR MONTHLY PERMIT* - Purchase online and pick up in Parking Office.
  •  FALL SEMESTER permits* will be available starting July 28, 2025 – Purchase your Faculty/Staff Semester Fall parking permit on  . It will be mailed to you, just print and display the temporary permit in the meantime.
    • New employees, you will need to bring the pink card from HR/Payroll and photo ID to the Parking Office. Once you are set up in the system by the Parking staff, you will be able to order your permit.
